Mowing 3 hilly acres twice a month and maintaining 1500 feet of dirt road. There are a number of other tasks for the tractor such as fence posts, planting trees, pushing a few rocks around and building projects but not on a reoccurring basis. So is a 4120 way too much tractor? I plan on keeping the tractor for many years.
I dont see any comments on the 4120. What is the reason for this?

Having a little too much tractor is generally better than forcing a smaller model to do stuff it wasn't intended for. Taken to the extreme, though, means having to deal with limited maneuverability, more tracking due to greater weight, and probably more dollars invested. For the uses you describe a 40hp tractor sounds like a lot. It would give you added flexibility down the road if your needs change, though. ....

With price increses in new equipment or most anything we purchae seeming to be running rampant, I think I'd buy all the tractor you anticipate needing now and take good care of it. I know I'm glad I bought when I did as the same or like models are a bunch higher than a two or three years ago and really don't offer many more features that I'd pay a lot extra for. Just my thoughts. Frank. ....

Frank, I watch some companies raise prices by the month because of steel or fuel and I watch others that don't raise them but maybe once a year. I watch as newer designs come out and often the price holds to comparables. Then with some and the all new they hold back to only a modest ten percent increase on the all new totally improved unit? ....

I had a feeling the 4120 is on the high side. The 4410 is probably just right. I guess the low side is determined by what I want to give up in capability. The 4410 is 2900 lbs verses 3700 lbs. It’s not clear to me what the tracking difference would be between the two, based on the weight difference. The price difference is 2000.00 ....
